Very beautiful place! They have a station for your drink with milk/cream to put in your drink if you want a bit more, and a simple syrup if it isn't sweet enough!! I love the simple syrup because I usually get cold drinks so regular sugar takes so long to desolve. With the syrup I can just boom! Sweeter. I loved this place, great meet up place for friends, get books, and a lot of comfortable seating! I also go their poppy seed pastry, it was delicious! Very filling, only slighly sweet and just enough poppy seed to get to flavor so it isn't overwhelming.
Truly an icon on pearl street. This coffee shop offers delicious drinks, great bites, and a one of a kind book store/cafe vibe. I have been here many times to shop, get a latte, study for a class or just hang out. They have ample seating and a nice back patio. Their coffee is delicious and they have some interesting flavor profiles. I also love the book store it has a lot of great book options. I took my family here when they came to visit and they also loved it !! Trident will always be in my regular rotation for coffee shops
The famous Trident cafe and bookstore has a vibe that resonates with both a younger and older version of me. Tasty coffee and the friendly staff made the visit special. Thank you so much!
Boulder’s best coffee shop, one of its best bookstores. The poster of Jack Kerouac above the barista counter has been there longer than most of you have been alive. Over the decades, Trident has maintained the best quality coffee and coffee shop atmosphere in Colorado. Other good ones have come and gone but Trident remains an icon of a Boulder vibe that is still there, below the shiny gentrified surface of this town. Love it
When my mom and I first visited Boulder in 2023, we were walking down Pearl Street and came across Trident Booksellers and Cafe. We had a coffee and enjoyed walking around and looking at the books. Little did I know that this cafe would become one of my favorite study spots while attending CU Boulder. The lively and cozy environment has to be my favorite part of Trident. I love running into my friends and meeting different kinds of people. Every seat is always taken, people scanning the room to find an open spot is a tough game. I can’t wait to study at Trident in the fall. I especially love sitting in the back garden, which I did not know existed until the third time I was there. Trident hosts many events such as language exchange nights, community craft clubs, and a wide variety of singers and bands that put on phenomenal shows. Trident is such a nice place to study, get coffee with friends, read some books, and meet people.
This place is iconic; a true asset to downtown Boulder for 45 years. If you like grabbing a coffee or other pick-me-up, you cannot miss it. Lots of seating options, although it can get busy. A very good amount of outlets to plug in, settle down, and get some work done. There is a large outdoor area (covered and open air) with small tables, a medium-sized table for 6 people or so, benches, etc. BONUS: it’s dog-friendly out there! Bummer no doggos were present during my ~1 hour at the cafe. The attached bookstore was nice, not huge, although it did seem like it was only new books (at new book prices, although I’m sure there are sales from time to time). The staff was SUPER friendly and chill, too. Extremely recommended!
Great coffee. Love the book store it’s connected to. And they have a great outdoor patio outback with tons of seating. Very shaded with sunny spots throughout. They do have pastries and oatmeal they put water in for you but I don’t come for the food. Mostly coffee, computer work and books than food
The bookstore portion isn't large but they have a lot of seating in the cafe and in the back patio which is open to the outdoors. You can order tea, coffee, and even beer. It's a great spot to study, relax, or watch a show as they have a stage too
